VISAPP 2012 (International Conference on Computer Vision Theory and Applications - http://www.visapp.visigrapp.org/) has an open call for papers, whose deadline is set for October 11th, 2011. We hope you can participate in this conference by submitting a paper reflecting your current research in any of the conference areas/topics. This conference is sponsored by INSTICC, member of the WfMC - Workflow Management Coalition, and will be held in Rome, Italy, next year on 24 - 26 February. VISAPP 2012 is a component conference of VISIGRAPP, a joint conference that integrates knowledge areas related to Computer Vision, Imaging, Computer Graphics and Information Visualization, which are becoming more and more interrelated and sustain important interdisciplinary R&D work (http://www.visigrapp.org). The International Conference on Computer Vision Theory and Applications (VISAPP) aims at becoming a major point of contact between researchers, engineers and practitioners in Computer Vision. The conference will be structured along five main tracks, namely Image Formation and Preprocessing, Image and Video Analysis, Image and Video Understanding, Motion, Tracking and Stereo Vision and, Applications and Services. VISAPP is interested in promoting high quality research as it can be confirmed by last year acceptance rates, where from 174 submissions, 16% were accepted as full papers. Additionally, 27% were presented as short papers and 16% as posters. Submitted papers will be subject to a double-blind review process. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, under an ISBN reference, on paper and CD-ROM support. CKXL The proceedings will be submitted for indexation by major international indexers, including Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (ISI), INSPEC, DBLP and Elsevier Index (EI). Additionally, a short list of high quality papers presented at the conference will be selected so that revised and extended versions of these papers will be published by Springer-Verlag in the Communications in Computer and Information Science Series (CCIS). Best paper awards will be distributed during the conference closing session. All papers presented at the conference venue will be available at the SciTePress Digital Library (http://www.scitepress.org/DigitalLibrary/). SciTePress is member of CrossRef (http://www.crossref.org/). Workshops and special sessions are also invited. If you wish to propose a workshop or a special session, for example based on the results of a specific research project, please contact the secretariat. Workshop chairs and Special Session chairs will benefit from logistics support and other types of support, including secretariat and financial support, to facilitate the development of a valid idea. Please check further details at the VISAPP conference website (http://www.visapp.visigrapp.org/). There you will find detailed information about the conference structure. This conference is co-located with PECCS 2012 (2nd International Conference on Pervasive and Embedded Computing and Communication Systems - http://www.peccs.org/), and SENSORNETS 2012 (International Conference on International Conference on Sensor Networks - http://www.sensor-nets.org/). Registration to VISIGRAPP will enable free access to the PECCS and SENSORNETS Conferences (as a non-speaker). Should you have any question please don't hesitate contacting me.
