ICIAR 2012 is the 9th conference of a series of ICIAR conferences organized in Portugal and Canada. Authors are invited to submit full papers showing original research contributions. The page limit is 8 pages (1-column), plus 2 extra pages.

Focused Topic: BIOMEDICAL IMAGING
Starting with ICIAR 2012, one of the days of the conference will be focused in a special topic. In 2012 the focused topic will be "BIOMEDICAL IMAGING". The sessions will comprise invited keynote speakers, oral and poster presentations and a panel discussion. Authors are invited to submit full papers under this topic, addressing original research developments.

The conference proceedings will be published in the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science series. ICIAR series is organized annually, alternating between Europe and North America. ICIAR 2012 will be held in Aveiro, Portugal.
